Last Time

Last Time

For everything there’s a time, the preacher said
A time to be born and a time to be dead
A time to laugh and a time to cry
A time for hello and a time for goodbye

Today she put his ashes in the car
The last time she’ll come this far
The last time I’ll sit here mid trees peace spoken
The last time home’s memories broken

Now, a time to search no time for lost
A time to mend the heart so crossed
A time for new mission’s vision
A time to fly with Jesus risen

Time’s crying comes, time’s crying goes
Heart is refreshed, heart takes the blows
Someday soon the last time we’ll see
Someday soon creation runs free

For now she’ll move forward not back
Praising the plan, forgetting the lack
Finding the path, sharing the pain
Ashes turning to Heaven’s refrain

Eternity
